This would be very helpful. Once I got bored and looked into this (and had it working), but it's actually not that easy. The owner info is not sent to the client (and we don't want it to be), so the only way to know what are your orders is to compare them with the "my orders" list... which would require a lot of extra trips to the server, which we are not fond of. |

One question about the blueprint drag feature: it's a nice idea, but how would ppl know that they can drag the blueprints there? yeah, we have also been thinking about this... there are some hidden "features" in EVE (like holding down SHIFT to split stack, and while opening "show info" window to get a new one), and we probably don't communicate them well enough. We are planning on adding something in the Evelopedia, and also hoping you guys spread the word |

I'll ask some server experts, but I'm guessing there is one order list that everyone gets, and it's going to add too much extra work on the server to be distributing different orders to the clients. |

Indeterminacy wrote:Sorting the asset page by the amount of stuff in any given station seems like a particularly bad idea to me. The whole idea of sorting is to present (obviously ordered) but consistent and predictable information that a person can effectively navigate. With this new method the presentation will be changing over time and not presented in any meaningful way to the human mind...I'd guess this will result in a lot more searches in the asset windows. Well... the only thing that is changing with that is the now the list will be in descending order when you sort by "number of items", rather than ascending order . So if you like your assets sorted by "name", you are free to do that |

Though here are some thought: - Rclick menus. Why do we have different options everywhere? Why not unify them? like try to send an evemail to a ceo/founder of a corp. When you are rclicking on the toon in the corp attributes you have no option to send him anything, that's a reduced menu. When you click showinfo and use the context menu on the upperleft corner, you can send him the mail, whatever. Why not having the complete menu when rclicking the toon on the attributes? - Rclicks. Why can't i have the "find in contracts" on an item in the market quickbar? Why do i have to drag it to the chat channel, just to have that option? - Why doesn't the GUI remembers my slot selection preferences? Like using a "same region" selector for a blueprint task, it always defaults to the "blueprint location" even when that's impossible to do, because the station doesn't have the lines, why the POS next to it, has.
- The right click menus should be the same (I think, the one on the corp ui is probably not working properly). - I added proper menu to the quickbar items, so you should have "find in contracts" in those menus soon - I just fixed the "blueprint location" thing, should be out on Tuesday

Buzzmong wrote:Do Team Avatar have any input on the In-game Browser?
If you do, is it possible to open your bookmarks in a new browser tab?
Shift or Ctrl left clicking on the browser bookmarks doesn't do anything, nor does right clicking as it appears to function the same as left click.
Could right-click on a browser bookmark open up a context menu at all? Maybe containing "Open in current tab", "Open in new tab" and "remove"?
I might send you cookies if you can do that :D oooooo, cookies Well, Team Avatar doesn't really have any input on the Ingame browser, but as a ui developer I do. We in Team Avatar will hopefully be able to continue to grab little tasks here and there, so this is something we could look into (or Team Superfriends, which is also doing small ui changes). Of course there are a lot of people asking for a lot of little things, so there is a very long list of them, so I cannot say when someone can investigate this, but I'll at least add it to my list |

Seloena wrote:CCP Karkur, could You satisfy our curiosity about this post? https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=909039#post909039I know you told earlier its not so easy, but we would like to know how it compare to the other idea than sending tones of queries each time. After i look into my API i realized one more thing... all I wrote is 'probably' coz I dont know exactly how the mechanism works on the server. When client ask for market, server know who is asking for it. Also when orders are taken from DB, for sure you know who created each order. So putting the flag: 1 - your order, 0 - not your order, when sending back to client shouldn't be resource expensive. Assuming - you don't have to send player ids (you said you don't want to do that); So after this 2 ideas: - adding flag your/not your to returned market list - cashing orders ids once (if not cashed) during first market query or when opening wallet>orders and modifying that list when changing market orders only in the client.I would really, really appreciate the answer for our speculations and ideas. Best wishes :] I'll take a look when I have some time (I'm kind of in the middle of something now, and need to focus on that). I have not looked that well into this so I cannot say for sure, but I don't think it's trivial to change this... but let me look into it and get back to you

Why don't you want us to know who is posting what order? I already know the name of the toon who buys something from me. I would love to see both the name and standing of every order posted. The ability to market PVP would be awesome, undercut someone just because they are red. Buy something from a blue even if it cost a bit more. see what my enemy's are buying. Use market alts just like neutral scouts. I think this is right up EVE's ally. See if the same guy who undercuts me ever 5min plays 23 hours a day, hit report bot button. I guess i just don't understand, we are already playing this meta game in the markets with POCO's and the upcoming DUST. Lets take it one more step forward! Anyway, thanks for the hard work on the UI! That's a game design requirement.... if I recall correctly, Hilmar (our CEO) and Reynir (one of the founders) have never agreed on this and there have been some heated discussions about it |

If they don't agree for sending owners i can understand why, here i can see many reasons to not agree about that. But if they don't agree to highlight own market orders - i don't understand, coz we all know what order is our own. Highlight would be only help, so the search in tones of orders is not so hard and time consuming. And like many of us think - this probably shouldn't lead to server load and sending order owners ids. sorry, I was talking about whether or not you should know who owns each order. |

It would be uber totally awesome if you would allow shift dragging BPOs from the search tab over, so you dont have to have the actual bpo in your pocket you are looking to buy parts for. Otherwise the feature is only nice, but not usefull for me sadly, as my shopping is done by a different character then the one who puts the stuff together and just buying the bpo twice might be usefull to the economy, but not to my personal wallet Dragging the BPOs from search into chat is already working nicely, so hopefully that extra shift drag is peanuts for you to do! :-) Keep up to good UI changes, they are truely awesome! Then I think it is uber totally awesome, because it does not only work when you drag the item to your quickbar, but also if you hold down shift as you click on the "add to quickbar" menu option on the blueprint. I am not sure if dragging stuff to the quickbar tab itself works, but if it does't, I'll change it so it does (although, probably not before Crucible 1.5) |

I have a feeling that soon double clicking an order will not open the "show info" window "Feeling"? "Soon"? "Wink"? You are such a tease. Hmm... yes.... feels mystery... Actually after you write that i wasn't happy because it can mean, that marketers will not have easier life then they has now. Nothing comes to mind what could appear after clicking market order - if not modify order and info window, than what that could be useful? Will that make marketers life easier? Well, it's certainly meant to make marketers life easier, and a few of you have been asking for it (hint: it has something to do with details ) I don't want to say too much because this *might* have been ninjaed in yesterday and my boss *might* be reading this thread |

*) would provide pretty much same functionality as info/variations/compare button atm. Just lots easier to access. **) would provide really easy way to compare in example different brand of ammo or different minmatar cruisers

Perhaps we could add this to the menu on the items in the compare tool: "add other variations"/"add similar items"? I think this is something our UI/game designers would need to decide. |

Something like vertical lines for high sec, diagonal lines for lowsec, horizontal lines for nullsec. For many years scientific journals would not allow the use of color in graphs because they didn't want the additional cost of color printing the journals. They used patterns like that for bar graphs and occasional pie chart I think we all see your point and it's really a valid one, because this is important info for everyone and not just some extra "nice" info. I'll raise this with the group again, and see if we can do something about it.
Helothane wrote:Corp member vs. war target in local listing: My colorblindness is of the red/green variety, and I really can't readily tell the difference between the symbols for a corp member vs. a war target in the local listing, because the only difference is that one is green, the other is red. I might not immediately recognize a new corp member's name, and ironically, I can shoot both a war target and a fellow corp member in high sec without invoking CONCORD. If the symbol for a war target were something other than a star, it would really help I think I can actually help you with that. If I'm not misunderstanding the issue, you can change the tag color, tag icon and background color of these characters. Open the overview settings, and I think the tab is called "appearance", and there you can change the colors/tags if you right click the entries. I hope that help, otherwise I have no idea what you are talking about
Helothane wrote: Something that has nothing to do with color: If I am zoomed out in terms of what is being displayed in space, and I move my mouse pointer from somewhere on the lower left, like for a chat window or the module interface, to the right side, where I typically have my overview, it can pass over a section of the screen where there are many objects stacked in roughly the same spot. The exploded listing of those items pops up, and stays there, sometimes spanning from the top of the screen to the bottom, and occluding other, more important information. I have to click somewhere to get rid of it. How about if the exploded listing was only there while the mouse pointer was over the spot where the stacked items were located? That way I am indicating what I want to see, for as long as I want to see it
Thank
P.S. I would love to see that video one more time, at least played a little more slowly so that I could see all
I am not sure if I know what you are talking about, but I'll give this a try next week
I'm not sure we want the whole world to see that video ... some of these ideas are nowhere close to being worked on, so I'm afraid people might get some unrealistic expectations about what's coming. Just feel special that you saw it I'll ask around though to see if people want to publish it

Syri Taneka wrote:Another thing:
I seem to remember back in the old days an Aggro timer being in the top left of the screen (much like the session change timer is now) which would show you how long you had to wait to dock or jump after performing some sort of hostile action. I can't, for the life of me, find an option in the escape menu to get it back, and it's really annoying to not know this figure without keeping meticulous track of the time outside of the game.
So... either could someone point out to me where to turn on such a feature, or could something be devised that works like the current session change timer (IE a little circle, perhaps in red, counting down the time to interface with a station or gate)? Has that been removed and nothing replaced it? I did not chnage the route myself, but I thought the yellow and red aggro text was still there.

Chokichi Ozuwara wrote:CCP UI ladies please show me on the market page what my buy and sell orders are. Some icon or something.
Alsobookmarked items in my quickbar, but then I can't tell which price was mine, and I have to search that order on the MY ORDERS page to edit it (where I can't see the market prices). , please let me edit from the market page. I have a character with the ability to have over 200 outstanding orders, in 6 regions, and it really sucks for trying to use the MY ORDERS page to sort or figure them out. Much easier for me to hit We MUST be able to see relative regional market prices when we do a price edit.
And again, we must be able to see if we have outstanding buy or sell orders in the current region from the item page in the market view.
The current system is very clumsy.
Thanks for listening. well... we are loooking into it in this sprint
